About Page Turners
We are a team of three senior high school students around the Lower Mainland with passions for reading and strong imaginations. Page Turners Book Club began with the aim to create connections between elementary and secondary school students. Growing up surrounded by books at an early age, we were immersed in the world of reading and all of its benefits. Because of this, we feel that it is important to build strong reading skills from an early age. Through our book club, we are determined to be involved in strengthening and maintaining these skills with bright and engaging stories.

Meet our Leaders!
Melissa Wong
As an extreme bookworm, I am super excited to be a part of this awesome club. From personal experiences, I realize that reading may be difficult and/or dreadful for kids, however I firmly believe that the right environment makes every difference! Nowadays, you can find me reading around two books a week! We are striving to create passions for reading at a young age, which will have long-term benefits in comprehension, vocabulary and creativity. I cannot wait to begin exploring new stories with our readers!

Olivia Wong
As an aspiring journalist, I know how much reading affects my writing, so when I’m not writing, you’ll always find me reading anything I can find! I’m ready to help other students find their passions for literature so they too can benefit from reading as they grow up. In elementary school, I joined summer reading clubs, so I hope that Page Turners Book Club will give kids a way to keep learning during this crazy time. I’m super excited to read new books and meet a bunch of ambitious learners!

Through my experiences working with young children, I have seen students thrive when engaging with books and stories. My interest in reading began when I joined a book club in elementary school, and has grown to include many genres of literature. I truly appreciate the creativity that exists in the written world, and I am thrilled to explore the world of literature with members of the Page Turners Book Club!
